Could co-parenting be a solution for me?
Co-parenting is especially suited to people who want a child but haven't found a romantic partner, who prefer to keep their romantic life separate from their family life, or who are simply looking for a different family structure than the traditional model.
It does require strong communication skills, the ability to set clear boundaries, and long-term collaboration with someone who won't be your life partner but will be your parenting partner.
If the idea of building a stable family with a defined role and real commitment appeals to you more than waiting for a romantic relationship, co-parenting is worth exploring seriously.
A real story
I asked myself that question for two years before taking the leap. Looking back, it was exactly the solution I needed.
